Engineer for battery systems (m/f/d)
Since 2014, we at NOVUM have been making batteries calculable. With patented hardware and artificial intelligence, we can provide precise information about the condition and service life of energy storage systems. We were named High Tech Startup Europe in 2017 and received the Saxon State Prize for Innovation in 2023!
What you bring:
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field
- Sound knowledge of electrical engineering required
- Experience in data processing with Python and Pandas
- Ability to visualize data with various tools
- Battery knowledge is a plus — if you don’t have it, we’ll teach you
- System understanding: A battery is not an isolated element — you understand the interaction of the various components
- You recognize patterns and deviations in the data
- You know the difference between correlation and causality and can analyze anomalies
These are your tasks:
- Analysis of battery storage systems — especially in detecting and understanding cell defects.
- Carrying out data exploration, cleansing and visualization to identify anomalies and sources of error in battery systems.
- Application of statistical and other methods (e.g. machine learning approaches) for pattern recognition and evaluation of battery conditions.
- Documentation of your analyses in clearly structured reports including visualizations and conclusions.
- Working closely with the team to develop robust diagnostic procedures for battery systems.
This is what we offer you:
- A full-time position with a fair salary starting immediately
- A thorough induction accompanied by a mentor
- A job with meaning in a highly motivated team
- Flexible working in our office in Dresden and in the home office
- Lean structures and communication at eye level
- A respectful and honest approach
